Two guests in one episode? Episode 63 is a Talkscology first, as solo host, Jason, talks to not one, but two podcast guests. Cat Tamez and Carlos Truan are well-known both separately, and as a punk-rock power couple in ATX.

Carlos, who has appeared previously as a Talksicology guest, is a renowned tattoo artist, the owner-operator of Communion tattoo, and more recently his own line of tattoo ink, Sombra Grey. Cat Tamez, recently featured in Voyager Austin, talks about her academic background, love for skating, and how it led her to start her company, Cherries Wheels.

Though both Cat and Carlos are now sober and thriving, that wasn’t always the case. Cat tells the story of her journey through the depths of addiction, and why she is no longer a park ranger… Sometimes, even when you’re ready to quit you just need that one final motivational push, and Cat says for her, that was meeting Carlos. Seeing another person, doing the work and living sober can make it all seem that much more tangible.
