Talksicology Episode 60
A SHARED THING
On episode 60 of the Talksicology Podcast Jason and Joseph take a break from the guest lineup to talk about music, their own experiences in recovery, and who they’ve become since they first got sober.
You know you’ve come a long way when you’re able to ask for help. Jason opens up about asking for help when his mother was trapped in the recent flooding in South Florida, and how his sober community came together to get her out.
Joseph says there’s a point where you notice your story has become more about your own growth than about the trauma that led you there, and he’s glad to realize he is at that point.
So, what does healing mean in addiction? Is there a time when learning to drink moderately becomes a next step, or is it better to just stay the course and stay away? What is a freelapse?
Tune in to hear our hosts’ picks for albums that had an impact on their lives, and find out if Jason and Joseph can be trusted around dessert, this week on Talksicology.
