It is Recovery Unplugged’s policy to ensure the safety of clients and staff during the viral outbreak of Coronavirus Disease 2019, COVID-19. Recovery Unplugged will take all necessary precautions to keep current clients and staff, as well as admitting clients, at low risk for contracting the virus. Coupled with our already stringent infectious control policy and procedure, we are following every federal and local government recommendation.

Prevent Corona Virus

This includes:

  • Screening all potential patients prior to admission, conducted by our medical team
  • Thorough cleaning and sanitation of facilities and supplies
  • Asking all staff to remain home if they exhibit any signs or symptoms
  • Monitoring of all patient’s and staff’s health for signs of COVID symptoms on a daily basis
  • Implementing “social distancing” to reduce the amount of close contact between individuals
  • Reducing the number of outside contacts by discouraging outside visitors and vendors
  • Telehealth to reduce face-to-face interactions between providers and patients

Recovery Unplugged’s specific COVID-19 protocol and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have outlined some tips for preventing the spread of coronavirus.

These general precautions include:

  • Cleaning your hands often
    • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after being in a public place or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
    • If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.
    • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact
    • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
    • Put distance between yourself and other people if COVID-19 is spreading in your community. This is especially important for people at higher risk of getting very sick.
  • Stay home if you are sick
    • Stay home if you are sick, except to get medical care.
  • Cover coughs and sneezes
    • When you cough or sneeze, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue, or use the inside of your elbow.
    • Throw used tissues in the trash.
    • Immediately wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not readily available, clean your hands with a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
