Recovery Unplugged Delivers Two Powerful Presentations at This Year’s Recovery Results Conference on Addiction Treatment

With this year’s Recovery Results Conference just around the corner, Recovery Unplugged is delighted and humbled to announce that we will be among this year’s presenters, giving two powerful and inspiring talks about the future of addiction care. The three-day conference is sponsored by Foundations Events, and is a chance for stakeholders in the addiction treatment industry to assemble from across the country to exchange ideas and insights. This year’s conference will be held at the Ritz-Carlton, Dallas, located at 2121 McKinney Ave, Dallas, TX 75201, and feature presentations covering practically every area of the addiction treatment conversation, from long-term care protocol to age-specific modalities.

On Tuesday, November 28th at 1:05pm Recovery Unplugged’s Director of Alumni Joseph Gorordo, LCDC will take his place in the Dallas Ritz’s Maple Room to present: New Approaches for Treating Substance Abuse in the Millennial Population. The presentation will examine the unique and diverse substance abuse issues faced by millennials, and the new innovations that have emerged in the addiction treatment landscape to meet their specialized care needs. Young people encounter an entirely distinct set of factors before, during and after the treatment process, this discussion will shine some light on how care providers can leverage this specialized knowledge to offer the best and most targeted care possible.

The following day, at 10:20am in the Ritz’s Salon, our very own Chief Strategy Officer Paul Pellinger delivers the riveting and informative Music is Medicine. A pioneer in music-based addiction treatment and one of the driving forces behind the Recovery Unplugged care approach, Paul has been traveling to different areas of the country to spread the word about music’s ability to transcend normal talk therapy and help patients heal from substance abuse. He’ll be joined by acclaimed singer-songwriter and Recovery Unplugged Texas team-member Ashley Monical. The presentation will be an illuminating discussion about the power of musical medicine in addiction treatment.

Recovery Unplugged looks forward to yet another opportunity to spread the word about the enormous potential of music-based addiction care. Come join us for a truly unforgettable weekend.
