Virtual Addiction Therapy Is Available in Northern Virginia
Teletherapy Rehab Near You: Outpatient Treatment for Alcohol & Drug Addiction
Teletherapy rehab is a drug addiction treatment program that takes place in a virtual or online environment. At Recovery Unplugged, we are constantly trying to expand the recovery resources we offer our clients. By providing a therapy program that takes place online, we can reach even more people with our specialized brand of drug and alcohol rehab.
We were happy to add teletherapy rehab to our levels of care in addition to our inpatient treatment and outpatient addiction treatment programs. Beginning substance use disorder treatment can be stressful, and we want to offer our clients the options that will make them the most comfortable and allow them to dedicate themselves to making a positive change in their lives.

Inpatient substance use disorder treatment, Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), and traditional outpatient programs are all excellent levels of care to consider that we offer at Recovery Unplugged. Our online drug rehab gives our clients an additional option, one that has become even more useful and popular during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Online drug rehab allows you to work through a cocaine addiction, meth addiction, alcohol addiction, or issues with any other substances, even if you cannot physically get to in-person treatment at one of our rehab centers. Web Based Addiction Therapy
Outpatient addiction treatment is already a very flexible form of drug or alcohol rehab. The addition of web-based addiction therapy as an outpatient addiction treatment option can allow us to serve almost anyone regardless of their situation or circumstances. Like outpatient treatment, web-based addiction therapy can be scheduled around work schedules, school assignments, family responsibilities, and all the other things that make up everyday life. This is definitely a recovery program that works for clients who may not have been able to take part in rehab in more traditional therapy settings.
Virtual Intensive Outpatient Services (IOP)
An Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) can be an excellent option for therapists and their clients for multiple reasons. First, if a patient has completed an inpatient treatment program but still needs a higher level of treatment than typical outpatient rehab provides, an Intensive Outpatient Program could be the perfect fit. Many people cannot commit to long-term inpatient rehab but can benefit from levels of care that have many of the same characteristics and treatment options. In this way, an IOP can be a bridge between inpatient and outpatient levels of care.
Another reason why an IOP can be employed is for patients who cannot take part in a residential treatment program at all due to life responsibilities. An IOP offers more therapy than typical rehab, and this additional care can be just what a person needs to work through their issues with drugs or alcohol. A third reason an Intensive Outpatient Program can be useful is for someone who is already in outpatient rehab but for a set period of time can use extra therapy sessions in order to work through specific issues. An IOP usually lasts from eight to 12 weeks.
A virtual IOP works in all the same ways as mentioned above, with the added benefit of being an online program. This form of outpatient addiction treatment helps both the client and the therapist stay on course by being flexible and easy to use.
Family therapy can be an excellent addition to any of the drug addiction treatment levels of care we offer at Recovery Unplugged. Family therapy works to identify the issues that exist between family members that may be adding to, causing, or triggering the drinking or drug use of the individual who is struggling with a substance use disorder. Family therapy sessions are meant to be attended by as many family members as are willing in order to have the greatest effect.
Alcohol and drug rehab across all levels of care typically includes group sessions with other patients. Much like the often-seen video conferencing services like Zoom in real life, on television, and in the movies, virtual group sessions can easily be accomplished as part of a treatment program. Group sessions allow people in inpatient and outpatient programs to interact with their peers who have experienced many of the same issues tied to drug or alcohol abuse. Patients can also hear about how someone else dealt with relapse prevention when it came to their opioid addiction or meth addiction, or cocaine addiction being triggered.
Dual Diagnosis Treatment Via Zoom
Dual diagnosis treatment for people who are experiencing co-occurring disorders is a specialized type of care that helps people work through their alcohol or drug addictions and mental health disorders at the same time. Dual diagnosis treatment is very important as, in the past, addiction and mental health disorders were handled separately, and this sometimes caused conflicts in how each issue was being treated. Although this type of therapy program is often done in an inpatient environment, the onset of the Coronavirus made using a virtual setting a good way for people to continue getting the care they need.
How Effective is Virtual Addiction Therapy?
Any type of drug addiction treatment program is only as good as the people involved and their level of dedication. At Recovery Unplugged, we have an exceptional staff of highly trained drug and alcohol therapists and counselors whose goal is to help as many people get the recovery resources they need to live a substance-free lifestyle. How effective virtual addiction therapy also depends on the dedication of the individuals who are being treated for alcohol and drug addiction. When everyone is working together towards the common goal of sober living for the patient involved, virtual addiction therapy can be very effective indeed.
Is Virtual Rehab HIPPA Compliant?
Although this is a somewhat new type of recovery program, and there are sure to be changes in the laws and regulations going forward, virtual rehab is HIPPA compliant. It is still important to make sure you are working with a licensed professional no matter what type of environment you are being treated in during a drug addiction or alcohol addiction treatment program. At Recovery Unplugged, we have experienced, dedicated, and credentialed therapists that work with our clients in our virtual addiction treatment program. Please feel free to ask for any details when you speak to one of our counselors, therapists, or drug and alcohol treatment specialists.
What Is Online Substance Abuse Treatment Like?
During online substance abuse treatment, you can expect the same high level of care that you would get in any of our rehab centers during our inpatient or outpatient programs. Our online substance abuse treatment includes both individual therapy and group sessions, the same compassionate and attentive support staff you would see if you worked with us in person, and of course, our unique music-focused therapy techniques and treatment. We offer discreet, private, and effective virtual treatment options. Some of the many conditions covered by our virtual treatment include:
- Alcohol and Drug Abuse
- Depressive Disorder
- Anxiety Disorder
- Bipolar Disorder
- Trauma and PTSD
- Borderline Personality Disorder
- Codependency and Relationship Issues
How Long Does Online Rehab Last?
One of the questions often asked about addiction treatment is how long the program lasts. What’s important to remember is that the goal of substance abuse or drug addiction treatment is to successfully enter recovery and stay clean and sober. This will take different lengths of time for each of the individuals we work with at Recovery Unplugged. Each person we work with will have different issues to work through depending on how severe their alcohol addiction or opioid addiction, or meth addiction is and how it has impacted their life.
