Alcohol abuse and addiction is a complex disease that requires a comprehensive treatment program to be successfully overcome. Addiction to alcohol can look different in each person it affects, and so it requires a personalized treatment approach that will address the various emotional, behavioral, traumatic, and physical factors that addiction stems from.

Recovery Unplugged in Northern Virginia is a Joint Commission-certified addiction treatment facility that offers a full continuum of care for all types of alcohol addiction. Our treatment programs are personalized to every client, and we can meet anyone, anywhere in their recovery journey. Addiction therapies we use are most evidence-based treatments and programs such as cognitive behavioral therapy, group counseling, dual diagnosis treatment, and medication-assisted treatment. We also use a holistic approach to treatment, aiming to help heal the body, mind, and spirit through our unique music-assisted treatment. Through music and creativity, we help our clients access and process emotions, trauma, and underlying addiction issues in a way they have never been able to before.

Our comfortable and luxury accommodations help take away the sterile, hospital-like setting many traditional alcohol and drug rehab facilities have so you can heal and focus on your recovery. We encourage our clients to work through several levels of care so that they can access more intensive treatment at the beginning and slowly transition back into real life with adequate support and feedback from our counselors and their peers. Our treatment centers offer alcohol detox in Northern Virginia for those who wish to start their recovery journey with us there. However, it is not required to enter alcohol rehab.

Our treatment programs are personalized to fit each person’s personal and addiction recovery needs. Recovery Unplugged offers different levels of care for inpatient treatment and outpatient treatment to meet each individual where they need in their addiction recovery journey. Whether it is their first time in drug and alcohol addiction after a long, severe battle with addiction or it is their third time needing some support to avoid a relapse, our treatment programs and therapies can help anyone.

With inpatient residential treatment, clients will be required to stay full-time at our facility for an extended period of time which could be a week or 90 days or more. Days will be highly structured around various therapies, sober activities, and individual free time. Addiction therapies can include individual and group therapy, family therapy, learning new coping and life skills, and holistic treatments.

For those who need more flexibility and freedom, our outpatient treatment programs are available in several levels of care too. A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is the most intensive form of outpatient treatment, which requires a full daily treatment, between five and six, before going home or to a sober living facility at night. Typically, PHP lasts between 10 to 15 days. The next step down is an intensive outpatient program (IOP) which can be structured around work, school, or personal obligations.

All levels of care have access to several of the same types of treatment, including music-assisted treatment. You can continue working down the continuum of care which will require fewer and fewer hours of addiction treatment each week as you progress. It is important once your program is complete that you continue with the aftercare program to fully integrate your new sobriety into your everyday life successfully. We also encourage all our clients to participate in our alumni program to help them remain active in their sobriety.

our rehab plan will vary depending on which treatment program you participate in or which stage of treatment you are in, and how many hours a week you will need addiction therapies. Your addiction therapies can be made up of several types of individual and group therapy, as well as holistic therapies and recreational activities. As you progress through addiction recovery, you will learn new life skills and coping skills that will help you achieve long-term sobriety outside of Recovery Unplugged.

Recovery Unplugged offers a variety of addiction therapy methods, including:

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Helps to identify negative thought patterns contributing to your substance abuse and replace them with positive coping strategies.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy

Teaches healthy emotional regulation and sets healthy boundaries. Clients learn how to manage stress, emotions, and situations that may have triggered substance abuse in the past.

Dual Diagnosis Treatment

When dealing with co-occurring disorders, it is critical to treat both substance abuse and other mental health conditions simultaneously for successful recovery.

Relapse Prevention

An essential part of long-term recovery is learning new tools and coping strategies that help overcome relapse triggers and stressors without the use of drugs or alcohol.

Music-Assisted Treatment

Part of Recovery Unplugged’s unique holistic approach uses listening, writing, and playing music to access deep emotions and work through them.

Family Therapy

By repairing broken family ties from drug abuse and helping loved ones learn how to better support you, we aim to heal these aspects of addiction that may have contributed to substance abuse.

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation

Used in treating patients with co-occurring disorders, electromagnetic coils on a patient’s scalp stimulate nerve cells associated with depression.

Each patient’s recovery journey is unique, and so is their time in alcohol rehab. For some, it can be ten days, while others require 90 days of inpatient treatment. Time in rehab can also be made up of several levels of care, including inpatient residential treatment and outpatient treatment. Several factors will determine how long someone’s alcohol rehab may last, including the length of addiction, the severity of addiction, if there was polysubstance abuse, and if there are any co-occurring disorders. Our treatment programs are personalized to each client, and we will work with you to determine which length of time suits you best.

30-day rehab or short-term rehab is a great way to jump-start your addiction treatment program through intensive care. This is a great way to fully immerse yourself into your recovery treatment in a supportive, drug and alcohol-free environment away from temptations or outside influences. You can then transfer into one of our outpatient treatment programs to allow you to slowly reintegrate into your daily life with proper support and feedback.

As a mid-way between short-term and long-term addiction recovery, 60-day programs offer a similar jump-start as 30-day rehabs for their recovery journey but with more time to work on bad habits and behavioral issues that are contributing to their substance abuse.

Research has shown that 90 days in rehab is the best way to truly break old habits and learn new healthy coping skills. This is the best option for long-standing or severe addictions that require intensive treatment to work through withdrawal symptoms, cravings, and triggers. Our dual diagnosis treatment program helps to treat co-occurring disorders that may have contributed to or come out of substance use disorder.

12-STEP ALCOHOL REHAB IN Northern Virginia

12-Step programs like Alcoholics Anonymous have been helping many achieve and maintain sobriety for decades. At Recovery Unplugged, we invite you to participate in 12-step addiction treatment support groups to help you explore ways of continuing to stay accountable and have support outside of our recovery program in the long run. 12-step programs promote a positive recovery community that encourages a peer support network and accountability to maintain sobriety.

Many working professionals struggle with substance abuse. It is common to see high-functioning addicts among high-ranking CEOS and professionals such as lawyers and accountants. Many do not get the treatment they need because they cannot take an extended period off work to enter a residential inpatient treatment program.

Recovery Unplugged offers executive alcohol rehab for people in this position. Our executive alcohol rehab caters to working professionals by allowing access to computers, phones, and designated times to work remotely. We also offer virtual rehab that allows working professionals to access treatment from anywhere in the world.
