Keep reading to discover some of the addiction therapies and services we offer at our alcohol rehab in Austin include.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

One-on-one therapy is aimed at helping individuals identify negative thought patterns and replacing them with positive coping strategies in order to treat underlying causes of addiction.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy

A form of cognitive behavioral therapy, this individual therapy helps individuals learn healthy emotional regulation through mindfulness, interpersonal efficacy, distress acceptance, and emotional management.

Dual Diagnosis Treatment

Dual diagnosis treatment is essential for long-term recovery goals when the individual has co-occurring disorders. By treating underlying causes of addiction, such as anxiety, depression, or posttraumatic stress disorder, addicts can manage their mental health disorders without drugs and alcohol.

Relapse Prevention

Aimed at developing aftercare and relapse prevention plans which are highly important for building coping skills and managing triggers for long-term sobriety.

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)

TMS involves placing electromagnetic coils on a patient’s scalp to gently stimulate nerve cells associated with depression, which is a common co-occurring disorder found in substance abuse.

Family Programming

Family therapy can repair broken relationships, improve your support system, and break codependency or enable behaviors that can negatively impact your recovery efforts.

Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)

MAT can be an important tool in alcohol detox and in alcohol rehab. Medications can ease withdrawals, treat co occurring disorders, and help in relapse prevention.

Music Assisted Treatment

Our unique and innovative program goes beyond music therapy. This holistic approach used writing, playing, and listening to music to access and heal parts of your addiction you were never able to before.

Physical Fitness

Recovery Unplugged Austin offers gym access and exercise classes to help rebuild your physical and mental health damaged by addiction. It is an important tool to learn in managing your addiction outside of our treatment facility.

Life Skill Training

Part of your treatment may involve learning life skills you missed out on because of your addiction, such as cooking, cleaning and managing your finances.

Vocational Training

We also want you to be able to find and keep stable employment once your time with us has come to an end. You can learn interviewing skills, resume-building skills, and self-management skills.

Alcohol rehab will vary in length for each person. Recovery Unplugged offers a variety of treatment programs that can last from 10 days to 90 days or more. Our programs can be either inpatient treatment or outpatient treatment, or a combination of both. Several factors, including the length of your addiction, the severity of your addiction, and the presence of co-occurring disorders, can all play a role in how long your addiction treatment may be.

The majority of people take part in 30-day alcohol rehab, which is an immersive experience in a supportive, alcohol-free environment away from triggers and temptations. Part of your 30 days may include alcohol detox to help you successfully rid your body of alcohol comfortably and safely. Short-term rehab is better suited for mild addictions to get a jump start on their recovery. It should always be followed by outpatient rehab or aftercare programs to help you transition back into life and manage triggers with enough support from your counselors and peers. You can expect a very intensive program filled with many addiction treatments in a short period of time.

Our 60-day rehab is similar to 30-day rehab but allows more time to go through all addiction therapies needed to successfully recover from alcohol addiction. This program can give you more time to work on bad habits and behaviors that have contributed to substance abuse in an environment away from outside triggers and influences. You can build stronger bonds and support networks with your peers with two-month programs as well.

Severe addiction requires at least 90-day programs to truly break old habits and learn new coping skills. Long-term rehab can be fully done in inpatient treatment or be broken up among several levels of care to fit your needs. Not everyone can take three months away from their lives and work to go to addiction treatment, so completing your program in outpatient treatment is always an option. This length of the program allows our clients at Recovery Unplugged Austin to work through more complicated emotions, trauma, and other underlying causes of their addiction. It also allows us enough time to incorporate life skills and vocational training if needed.

We incorporate 12-step programs into our rehab programs at Recovery Unplugged Austin. Programs such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous have helped many for decades take control of their substance abuse and maintain sobriety. We will help introduce you to the 12 steps and how these support groups can be a great asset to your aftercare program and relapse prevention plan. 12-step groups exist all over Austin, Texas, and across the U.S., and we can help you find a meeting anytime you need it, anywhere.

Alcohol addiction does not happen overnight, nor does it look like hitting rock bottom. Many individuals deal with alcoholism but can continue thriving in their careers and job. Functional alcoholism is common among professionals such as CEOs, Lawyers, and small business owners. However, they do not feel they can take enough time off for adequate treatment and continue to deal with their addiction on their own, only worsening their disorder. Our executive alcohol rehab at Recovery Unplugged offers executive drug rehab, which allows access to computers, phones, and designated working hours to allow these individuals to continue to work remotely from our rehab facility. We also have the outpatient treatment and virtual rehab options to let individuals continue to go to work while in treatment.
