Helping Those in Recovery During COVID

Just Jordan – Helping Those in Recovery During COVID

Hey everyone, it’s your favorite #iPartySober ambassador, Jordan G! Recently I decided to start vlogging my personal experience with social distancing. I’m a recovering addict currently in quarantine in Fort Lauderdale, and I’m hoping that these vlogs can help at least one person through this tough time.

The reason I decided to make these vlogs is because I want to show you all that you’re not alone. Everything about the situation in our country and across the world can be stressful and cause a lot of anxiety. We’re all going through this and we can lean on each other throughout the coronavirus pandemic.

I also thought that keeping the #iPartySober spirit alive even in quarantine would be a fun way to pass the time. During this vlog journey I’ll be sharing with you guys some of the things I’m doing to stay busy and happy. I hope you will all join in and share your own tips, tricks, and personal experiences too!

I know that times like these can make us feel like using or acting out, but you don’t have to. As long as you do what you can to stay clean just for today, everything will work out.

If you’re struggling right now, please don’t hesitate to reach out to myself or Recovery Unplugged! Always remember that you’re not alone and that you’re loved, even if you don’t feel like it.

Vlog Transcription:

Hey guys, it’s Jordan, and I wanted to tell you guys a little bit about why I decided to start this vlog. The main reason is that I want everyone out there who’s struggling to know that it’s okay, we’re going to get through this, and that you’re not alone. I’m here, I’m doing the thing, I’m staying sober one day at a time, and you can too.

How I want to show you guys how I’m staying sober is by showing you my daily activities and what I’m doing to have fun and keep the #iPartySober energy and spirit alive. So, you know, I’ll be doing a few activities that will involve music and goofiness, and I’ll be asking you to participate as well!

I’m really excited! And I would love to hear from you. And you know, I’m just going to make the best of this. And that’s what I want you to do. So let me know! Send a DM and have a beautiful rest of your day, and stay safe. Bye!
