The Case Manager for Admissions, Kourtney Stefanu’s role is to ensure that clients are set up for success after completing our treatment program at Recovery Unplugged. She handles all client services behind the scenes to help each client’s stay be as comfortable as possible. She assists with all legal concerns that clients need addressed while in treatment, including writing letters to the courts, communication with probation officers and lawyers and any other legal needs clients may have. Not only does she help coordinate job leave and help our clients find possible employment, she also assists with the vivitrol program and discharge planning. On top of that, she runs groups to build relationships with the clients and meets with each person individually to assure that each client feels safe upon discharge. Kourtney has worked in the treatment industry for eight and a half years in different departments, beginning as an Overnight Behavioral Health Technician and moving upwards from there.
Kourtney has over nine years in recovery and is very active in Narcotics Anonymous. Every aspect of her life has been touched by recovery, and she enjoys expanding her spiritual awareness and engaging in new and awakening spiritual based activities and meditations. One of her favorite places is the beach and she spends as much time as she can with her family. She loves going to concerts and anything music-related, and enjoys exploring and having new adventures, including traveling and learning new activities. A foodie, she also savors trying new foods and restaurants.
