“Amazing grace, how sweet the sound that saved that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost but now I’m found, was blind, but now I see,” - “Amazing Grace,” John Newton
The Colorado Outreach Manager for Recovery Unplugged, Rob Lohman educates the community in Denver about what Recovery Unplugged does and how we can help those struggling with substance abuse through our music-based treatment programs. Having established groups and activities such as the Musicians in Recovery group, Rob encourages people to learn from local professionals through lunch-and-learns hosted at our Denver Outreach Center. Rob is a Nationally Certified Intervention Professional, Nationally Certified Recovery Coach, and received his Master of Business Administration in International Management.
With almost eighteen years of sobriety, Rob is active in the Alcoholics Anonymous and Celebrate Recovery communities. He is also involved with Prison Fellowship and hosts a global podcast called “Beyond the Bars Radio.” When he isn’t helping improve the community around him, he loves hiking, camping, and enjoying the outdoors with his eleven-year-old son, nine-year-old daughter, his wife, and their two-year-old Labradoodle, Max. As a family they also enjoy skiing, soccer, basketball, taekwondo, and many other sports. In the little time he has to himself, Rob is listening to music or sermons while either swimming or exercising.
