David Oppenheim is a Mental Health Technician at Recovery Unplugged’s Lake Worth detox facility. His role includes taking care of clients, making them as comfortable as possible, and offering advice from his experiences as a patient and as staff. He strives to help them in any way possible. David has worked in the addiction treatment field for the last three years and is passionate about helping others who suffer from the disease of addiction and other mental illnesses. He is currently enrolled in college courses and is slated to receive his Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services/Addiction in 2021. He hopes to use this degree to work towards becoming an Addiction Therapist, and feels it is important to give back as this is a vital part in his daily recovery.
David is a member of Alcoholics Anonymous and his sobriety date is September 3, 2015. David is a die-hard baseball fan, and is favorite team is the New York Yankees. Visiting all thirty Major League Baseball stadiums is one of the biggest goals on his bucket-list. He loves music and enjoys attending concerts and music festivals. David is also an animal lover who recently rescued a puppy named Daisy.
