The Outreach Manager for Recovery Unplugged based in the Washington D.C. metro area, Betsi Kreshover focuses on developing and maintaining relationships with healthcare facilities related to treatment, helping clients and their loved ones by acting as a liaison between the company and the client or those seeking to help the client get treatment. Her goal is to appropriately represent the company's brand while educating the community about substance abuse. Betsi earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science with a focus in Sociology from Florida Atlantic University and has been working in the industry for seven years, beginning as a Behavioral Health Technician and later Group Facilitator for a private Substance Abuse and Mental Health treatment center before thriving in her later role of Admissions Counselor conducting clinical assessments.
Betsi’s lifelong love of music and personal experiences with the beneficial and healing properties of music in her own long-term recovery have made it her passion to help destigmatize and decriminalize addiction and mental health issues. She loves advocacy and community-based volunteer work, which helps her better assist people who need help and their families. When she isn’t helping change and save lives, Betsi loves spending time with her two-year-old son, her wife, and their cat and dog, Owen and Riley. She also enjoys traveling, watching movies, and attending live music shows.
