David Kramer, MD

Dr. David R. Kramer, MD is the Medical Director for all Recovery Unplugged medical and psychiatric services in South Florida. He is a Psychiatrist, Board-Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology since 1996. He received his Medical degree with honors at the University of South Florida and completed his Psychiatry training at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Kramer has been in clinical practice in South Florida since 1997.
Dr. Kramer has special interests and experience in the treatment of addiction, mood and anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress, and adolescent psychiatric and behavioral disorders. In addition, he has extensive experience in psychopharmacology and brief, cognitively-based psychotherapy, and the assessment and treatment of substance abuse disorders.
Dr. Kramer is dedicated to the practice of thoughtful, client-informed psychiatric treatment, particularly in the addiction treatment setting. He emphasizes the too often overlooked core ideal that all clients should be properly educated about the purpose, goal and possible problems associated with their medical and psychiatric treatment.
