The Information You Need to Start the Healing Process
Recovery Unplugged has included a list of frequently asked questions to help you or your loved one better understand our scope of treatment and our care approach. Should you have any additional questions,
please feel free to contact one of our friendly and attentive admissions professionals. They are available 24/7 to answer all of your questions and address all your concerns.
Do You Accept Insurance?
Recovery Unplugged recognizes most major insurance companies. Everything from Blue Cross Blue Shield policies to United Healthcare. Our verification team is available to run a confidential check on your specific benefits for substance abuse, so that families and individuals are thoroughly aware of potential out of pocket costs to them before entering into treatment.
How Long Is Treatment?
The length of treatment comes down to the progress one makes during the therapy sessions they receive while in treatment and the work they do with their counselor to develop an aftercare plan upon completing treatment. However, treatment generally is anywhere between 28-45 days.
Do You Offer Outpatient Treatment?
Recovery Unplugged has its own intensive outpatient program. Often times clients who complete the inpatient portion of our program make the transition into this phase of treatment. However, individuals can also move directly into the intensive outpatient setting under the proper circumstances.
Can I See My Family During Treatment?
Addiction is often a family disease, so while the patient recovers from addiction, so too does the family unit as a whole. Recovery Unplugged encourages family members to be active in their loved one's recovery. So yes, under the guidance and direction of a counselor, family sessions and visits are allowed.
What Types of Treatment Do You Offer?
Recovery Unplugged offers all levels of treatment. We offer inpatient, outpatient, PHP (partial hospitalization), IOP (intensive outpatient), and aftercare, which includes individual sessions with a counselor.
Do You Offer Detox on Premises?
Our Texas facility offers on-site medically supervised detoxification. Programs are administered by our team of addiction-trained doctors and nurses. Detox is usually the first step in our treatment process and is critical in helping our patients gain the strength and energy to begin the rest of their treatment.
How Do You Use Music In Treatment?
Music is the purest form of communication there is. It can be a time machine, open us up, and keep us in the present moment. Recovery Unplugged uses music to allow our clients to obtain the most meaningful change they can achieve while in treatment by keeping them present and allowing them to explore their underlying issues that manifested themselves in the addiction to whatever substance they were struggling with in the first place. We do things like open-mic groups, live performance groups, and use music during therapy sessions to help everyone let their guard down to achieve the most meaningful change.
Do You Offer Medication-Assisted Treatment?
While the goal of substance abuse facilities is to remove all drugs from an individual’s lifestyle, we understand that some medications are necessary for an individual’s well-being. Anxiety medications and depression medications can sometimes be used to help stabilize clients to ensure they are comfortable and at ease during treatment. No narcotic medications are allowed or prescribed by the doctors at our facility. We do, however, offer Vivitrol therapy for eligible patients.
What Are the RU Residences Like?
The facility at which we offer residential treatment is located on a two-acre property in the vibrant and bustling city of Austin. In addition to beautifully appointed, semi-private rooms with flat-screen televisions in every unit, our residences offer a variety of amenities, including beautifully landscaped grounds, gym access, freshly prepared meals, state-of-the-art recording studio, doctors on staff and 24-hour security.
Will My Privacy and Safety Be Respected?
Whenever an individual enters into substance abuse treatment, HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability) law comes into effect. Which, in this regard, will protect all of a client’s personal information, everything from medical and clinical notes, to even the fact of them being in treatment in the first place. Upon admission, clients will sign a release of information form for the family members that they see as fit to be a part of their recovery and allow them to obtain updates on their progress as needed.
Recovery Unplugged utilizes the universal language of music to help patients better articulate their emotions and overcome psychological obstacles that inhibit healthy self-discovery. Our creative leadership works closely with our clinical professionals to help patients find their voice and use it to heal.
